As for Vietnam, Taiwan businessmen currently have 2,665 issues of local investments, mainly in Ho Chi
Minh City, Binh Duong Province and Dong Nai Province, accounting for more than 60% of the total. Vietnam
is a country second only to mainland China in terms of investment by Taiwan businessmen. The Machinery
Association expected to secure the establishment of one special machinery industry area for Taiwan
businessmen to facilitate investment. At present, Vietnam is facing rising labor costs, rising labor awareness, and
imperfect industrial settlements. Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry said, it must do everything by itself,
and so that it is not the best time to invest and set up factories there. Vietnam, because of the incomplete supply
chain, it is more suitable to set up marketing centers or maintenance centers.

Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry, has set an ambitious goal to achieve a total annual output value of
NT$ 2 trillion by 2025. Strongly urge the government to assist the industry in developing the “Taiwan Machinery
Cloud”, which is highly valued by relevant public units of Taiwan government. It has planned to spend NT$ 1.6
billion in research fund in the next 4 years. Entrusted the Industrial Research Institute, Precision Machinery
Center, Metal Center and the Institute of Information Technology to establish industrial application examples of
metal cutting, metal forming, rubber and plastics, electronic processing, woodworking and laser processing, etc.
In the future, it is ready planning to invest in the continuous deepening study of “Taiwan Machinery Cloud”, and
application service technologies such as AI and 5G to assist Taiwan machinery industry to fully upgrade and to
expand the industry to be great again.

In 2019, Taiwan machine tool industry is generally caught in dilemma of lost the orders, draw-back the customer
orders, and insufficient operating volume. The revenue of listed cabinet manufacturers has fallen by 2%-3%, and
even the phenomenon of cuts abound overall. In order to seek increasing the amount of orders, the phenomenon
of attending the International Machine Tool Show was particularly warm last year, especially the world’s largest
Machine Tool Show in European “EMO Hannover Exhibition” was held in September 2019. According to the
statistics of EMO Hannover 2019 Exhibition organizer, there were total of 2,209 manufacturers coming from
around the world participated in the exhibition, with 831 local manufacturers of Germany, accounting for 37.6%.
There were 1,378 manufacturers from outside, with 233 manufacturers of Mainland China, it was ranking the first,
in accounting for 10.5%, and the second was Italy with 231 manufacturers, accounting for 10.5%. Taiwan ranked
the third, with 220 manufacturers to participate in the exhibition, in accounting for 10%.

The most representative exhibitor of Taiwan delegation is FAIR FRIEND ENT., CO. (FFG Group) which integrates
member manufacturers and acquired German, Italian, Swiss, American, Japanese, and Korean brands, and it
has contracted all the building of No.14 halls, which can be using exhibition area up to 6,000 square meters.

Machinery Industry Co., GOODWAY Machine Corp., Quaser Machine Tools Inc., SHE HONG Industrial Co., Far
East Machinery Co., KAO FONG Machinery Co., AWEA Mechantronic Co., Tong Tai Machine & Tool Co., Litz
Hitech Corp., CHMER Industrial Co., WELE Mechantronic Co., YOU JI Machine Industrial Co.

The exhibitors of machine components and parts which included HIWIN Technologies Corp., KEYARROW
Taiwan Co., GSA Technology Co., HABOR PRECISION Inc., TUNG PEI Industrial Co., etc. All the Taiwan
exhibitors were devoting to do their best, to demonstrate the latest created new products of intelligent machine
tools, fully automated production lines, large-scale gantry machines, five-axis machining machines, turning and
milling machines, and other high-end and high-priced models, as well as key components of machine tools, in
order to strive for large orders into bag.

In terms of results about EMO 2019 Exhibition, Taiwan exhibitors generally felt that the number of visitors to
the exhibition was not as much as expected, and the effect was not good as the previous one. Especially in the
